He was a successful stage actor when he entered the film business in 1918 with his first movies "Tausend und eine Frau" (18), "Nur ein Schmetterling" (18) and "Die Prinzessin von Montecuculi" (18). One years later followed his last cinematical works with the productions
"Prinzessin Tatjana oder Wenn ein Weib den Weg verliert" (19), "Das ewige
Rätsel" (19), "Das Hexenlied" (19) and "Baccarat" (19). For the last
mentioned movie he was also the director and screenwriter.
