. The filmcomposer and bandmaster Frank Fox was born as Franz Fuchs in Bistritz.. He studied at the Academy for music and fine arts in Vienna from 1919 to 1921 and after his study he took over the job of a bandmaster. Later he founded his own dancing orchestra which played in Vienna. Frank Fox made his debut as a film composer in 1930 when he wrote the
music for the first Austrian sound film called "In der Theateragentur"
(30).
First their came only few more compositions and songs for the film business into being, among them "Geld auf der Strasse" (30), "Lumpenkavaliere" (32) and "Florentine" (37). From the 40s he became a demanded filmcomposer and he wrote the music to productions like "Kora Terry" (40), "Sonntagskinder" (41), "So ein Früchtchen" (42), "Der Meisterdetektiv" (44), "Die tolle Susanne" (45), "Hin und Her" (48) and "Liebling der Welt" (49). In the 50s he realised again the music for numerous movies like "Schwarzwaldmädel" (50), "Königin einer Nacht" (51), "Schwarze Augen" (51), "Die Perle von Tokay" (54) and "Schön ist die Welt" (57). With "Sooo nicht, meine Herren" (60) and the serial "Geheimagent Tegtmeier"
(66) he finished his last cinematical works.
