. The actress Alice Franz was able to gain a foothold in the film business as a support actress from 1937. To her first movies belong "Starke Herzen" (37), "Wenn Frauen schweigen" (37) and "Komödianten" (41). She continued her career after the war - normally in TV productions - beside it she also synchronised many productions of foreign productions and animated cartoons. To her well-known dubbing roles belong cartoon movies like "Biene Maja", "Sindbad", "Heidi" and "The Simpsons". To her other filmic works belong "Das Gesetz der Liebe" (49), "Don Quijote von der Mancha" (65), "Madame Bovary" (68), "Thérèse Humbert" (83), several episodes of the serial "Lindenstrasse" (91-92), "Muttertag" (97), an episode of the serial "Tatort: Gefallene Engel" (98), "Menschenjagd" (99), "Harte Jungs" (00) and "Wen küsst die Braut?" (02). Her daughter was the well-known actress Constanze Engelbrecht.
