The writer Lothar Knud Frederik was active as a screenwriter during the silent movie era of the 20s.

He began his film career with "Der Reiter ohne Kopf" (21), it followed the movies "Der Fürst der Berge" (21), "Das verschwundene Haus" (22), "zwei Welten" (22), "Judith" (23) and "Gobseck" (24).

He continued his career in the second half of the 20s and he wrote the screenplays for the productions "Der Provinzonkel" (26), "Als ich wiederkam" (26), "Mädchenhandel" (27), "Bezwinger der 1000 Gefahren" (27), "Emerald of the East" (28), "Fighting the White Slave Traffic (29) and "Der Mann, der nicht liebt" (29).
