The actor and director Carl Rudolf Friese was already active in front of the camera since the dawn of the feature film business and he impersoned first movie roles from 1912.
To his appearances belong "Zweierlei Blut" (12) directed by Jakob and Luise Fleck, "Treue Seelen" (13) with Max Neufeld, "Die Hochzeit von Valeni" (14) with Max Neufeld, "Das vierte Gebot" (14) with Gisela Werbezirk and Hans Rhoden and "Hedi und Edi" (14) with Hans Rhoden and Josefine Joseffy.

From 1914 he also realised few movies as a director with "Die Hochzeit von Valeni" (14) and "Das vierte Gebot" (14).

Afterwards his cinematical works came to an end.
