. The actor Viktor Gehring was already established at the theater when he made his film debut in 1916 with "Der Lautenmacher von Mittenwald" (16), it followed "Der Jäger von Fall" (18). He appeared regular in front of the camera in the next years and took part in silent movies like "Der Totenkopf" (20), "Der Verfluchte" (21), "Monna Vanna" (22) directed by Richard Eichberg, "Martin Luther" (23) and "Der Bund der Drei" (29). The transition to the sound film era was no problem for Viktor Gehring
and he continued his film career successfully.
After the war followed only few more appearances in movies, among them
"Die Martinsklause" (51) and "Die schöne Tölzerin" (52).
