. The actress Edna Greyff was born as Elsa Rosa Wacker in Heilbronn. She launched a short film career from 1934. She made her film debut with the short film "Herr Mahler in tausend Nöten" (34) by director Phil Jutzi. Her partners included Rudolf Platte, Emmy Wyda and Ellen Frank. After that she was engaged for other movies in mostly smaller roles, among them were "Glückspilze" (35), "Der Student von Prag" (35), "Sein bester Freund" (37) and "Narren im Schnee" (38). Her last cinematical work came in 1940 with "Weltrekord im Seitensprung" (40). In her private life Edna Greyff was married three times. Her first husband died in 1940, her second husband died in 1944 in World War II. With her third husband she left Germany and settled in the USA, where she died in California in 1992.
