Paul Günther

. The actor Paul Günther launched a successful film career in the 20s which he could continue till to the 50s. To his well-known silent movies belong "Die Verschwörung zu Genua" (21), "Nora" (23), "Ein Sommernachtstraum" (25), "Die Verrufenen" (25) and "Anastasia, die falsche Zarentochter" (28). At the beginning of the 30s followed again numerous engagements and Paul Günther impersonated roles in "Ludwig der Zweite, König von Bayern" (30), "Nur Du" (30), "Die elf Schill'schen Offiziere" (32) and "Das Lied der Schwarzen Berge" (33). Afterwards followed a longer interruption before he took part again in a movie called "Der 5. Juni" (42). Paul Günther only continued his film career after the war and he appeared in several movies of the 50s, among them "Melodie des Schicksals" (50), "Vor Gott und den Menschen" (55), "Mr. Gillie" (57) and "Romeo und Julia von Berlin" (57). Besides his activity as an actor Paul Günther also wrote two screenplays for the movies "Die siebente Nacht" (22) and "Lord Reginalds Derbyritt" (24).
