The actress Alice Hechy already began her film career in 1913 with the movies "Das rote Pulver" (13) and "Ilse und ihre Freier (13). In the next years she took part in silent movies like "Fräulein Piccolo" (14), "Dorrits Eheglück" (16) and "Hoffmanns Erzählungen" (16).

In the 20's you can especially mention the movie "Variété" (25) which was a worldwide success. The movie combined stars like Emil Jannings, Werner Krauss, Lya de Putti, Warwick Ward and Kurt Gerron. Other movies were "Das alte Gesetz" (23) and "Zuflucht" (28).
