. The actor and singer Eric Helgar could launch a film career because of his popularity as a youthful radio singer. He made his film debut in 1933 with "Was Frauen träumen", one year later he impersonated the leading role in "Der Springer von Pontresina" (34) and landed a big hit with the song "Wir wollen Freunde sein für's ganze Leben". Till the end of war followed other movies like "Gauner im Frack" (37), "Friedemann Bach" (41) and "Romanze in Moll" (43). Beside his activity as an actor he lent his voice to vocal less talented actors like Karl Schönböck in the movie "Der Blaufuchs" (38). His last cinematical work was "Die Lady" (64).
