The actress Erika Helmke made her film debut in 1932 with "Fünf von der Jazzband" (32) and appeared in other succesful productions in the following years.

To her well-known movies of the 30's belong "Ich will nicht wissen, wer du bist" (32), "Die Nacht mit dem Kaiser" (36), "Gefährliches Spiel" (37) and "Das Leben kann so schön sein" (38).

She was able to continue her career during wartime and took part in "Salonwagen E 417" (39), "Roman eines Arztes" (39), "Der Gasmann" (41) with Heinz Rühmann" (41) and "Träumerei" (44).

Erika Helmke only appeared in one more movie after the war called "Stadtmeier und Landmeier" (48), afterwards she retired from the film business.
