. The actress Ruth Hellberg was born as Ruth Holl in Berlin. She began her acting career at the theater where she worked among others at the Münchner Kammerspielen as well as in Hamburn and Berlin. She made her film debut in 1932 with "Was wissen denn Männer" (32),
but her breakthrough came only six years later with "Yvette" (38).
She continued her career after the war at the theater, in movies she only appeared seldom. To her last cinematical works belong "Michael Kramer" (65), "Strohfeuer" (72) and "Im Kreis der Lieben" (91). Besides her activity as an actress she also dubbed movies. She lent her voice to stars like Vivien Leigh, Myrna Loy, Jeanne Moreau and Martha Scott. Ruth Hellberg was married with the director Wolfgang
Liebeneiner.
