. The actor Willy Kaiser-Heyl began his career as a singer in Pavia after finishing a singing education in Frankfurt and later in Milano. Afore he already had first singing appearances on stage as a child from 1887. As an adult he got engagements on different German stages in the next years, both as an opera singer and actor. During his engagement in Berlin where he worked at the Volksoper Berlin and at the Kurfürstenoper he joined the thie film business. He made his film debut in 1916 with the movie "Der Thug" (16), it followed the productions "Die Faust des Schicksals" (17), "Die Fürstin von Beranien" (18), "Der Weg, der zur Verdammnis führt" (18), "Das Buch Esther" (19), "Madame DuBarry "(19) and "Nach dem Gesetz" (19). He became a demanded movie actor in the 20s who normally impersonated support roles in silent movies like "Der Januskopf" (20), "Die Dame in Schwarz" (20), "Zwischen Nacht und Morgen" (20), "Die Schuld des Andern" (20), "Der Hund von Baskerville" (20), "Das Opfer der Ellen Larsen" (21), " Das ind der Strasse" (21), "Die Geheimnisse von Berlin" (21), "Gespenster" (22), "Graf Cohn" (23), "Schicksal" (25), "Kreuzer Emden" (26) and "Der falsche Prinz" (27). he transition to the sound film was no problem for him but from now he normally got offered only minor roles. To his well-known movies of those years belong "Va Banque" (30), "Er oder ich" (30), "Anna und Elisabeth" (34), "Gold" (34), "Der Favorit der Kaiserin" (36), "Wie einst im Mai" (38),"Nanon" (38), "Napoleon ist an allem schuld" (38) and "Robert Koch, der Bekämpfer des Todes" (39). He was able to continue his film career during World War II and he took part in "Jud Süss" (40), "Kora Terry" (40), "Quax, der Bruchpilot" (41), "Rembrandt" (42) and "Meine Frau Teresa" (42). His last cinematical works came after World War II into being with "Die blauen Schwerter" (49), "Karriere in Paris" (52) and "Schatten über den Inseln" (52).
