. The actor Emil Heyse entered the film business in 1919 and he made his screen debut with "Der Rebell" (19), "Störtebeker" (19) and "Menschen, die ihr Glück verspielen" (19). The height of his film career followed in the 20s where he impersonated support roles in numerous movies. To his well-known silent movies of those years belong "Gräfin Walewska "(20), "Christian Wahnschaffe, 2. Teil: Die Flucht aus dem goldenen Kerker" (21), "Der ewige Fluch" (21), "Hanneles Himmelfahrt" (22), "Der Mann mit der eisernen Maske" (23), "Der steinerne Reiter" (23), "Die Buddenbrooks" (23), "Gräfin Mariza" (25), "Junges Blut" (26), "Sein grosser Fall" (26), "Svengali" (27), "Bigamie" (27) and "Das Schiff der verlorenen Menschen" (29). His last cinematical works came with the rise of the sound film into being with "Liebe im Ring" (30) and "Der Andere" (30).
