. The actress Grete Hollmann was born as Clara Marie Margarethe Hoffmann in Berlin. She was especially active as a movie actress from the end of the 10s till to the beginning of the 20s. She already played her first movie role as a child in "Vom Bauernmädchen zum Opernstern" (11). Her real film career began in 1918 and she impersonated roles in "Die blaue Mauritius" (18), "Verschleppt" (19) and "Ich lasse dich nicht" (19). Her last cinematical came already in the 20s into being, among them "Das Lied der Puszta" (20), "Die Tänzerin Barberina" (20), "Das Drama von Glossow" (20), "Der Gang durch die Hölle" (21), "Lucifer" (22), "Graf Cohn" (23) and "Mädchen, die man nicht heiratet. Grete Hollmann was married with the famous director Carl Boese.
