. The actor Walter Holten was born as Walter Siegfried Karl Regnet in Ingolstadt. He came to the theater at the beginning of the 20s and he played important parts in Munich. Finally Walter Holten joined the film business and he impersonated numerous support roles till the end of World War II. To his well-known movies of those years belong "Roman einer Nacht" (33), "Der Gefangene des Königs" (35), "Die letzten Vier von Santa Cruz" (36), "Frau Sixta" (38), "Feinde" (40), "Quax, der Bruchpilot" (41), "Geheimakte W.B. 1" (42) and "Der unendliche Weg" (43). He continued his film career after the war. Besides feature movies he also took part in TV productions. To his appearances in front of the camera belong "Das letzte Rezept" (52), "Sauerbruch - Das war mein Leben" (54), "Heimweh nach Deutschland" (54), "Es geschah am 20. Juli" (55), "Die Nackte und der Satan" (59), an episode of the serial "Das Kriminalmuseum: Der stumme Kronzeuge" (64), an episode of the serial "Die fünfte Kolonne: Schattenspiele" (64) and the serial "Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht" (69-71). Besides his activity as an actor Walter Holten got acting lessons, worked for the radio and was active as a dubbing actor for well-known Hollywood stars like Douglas Fairbanks, Bing Crosby, Leslie Howard and Erich von Stroheim.
