Annemarie Holtz

. The actress Annemarie Holtz learnt her acting abilites by Louise Dumont, afterwards she got her first theater engagement at the Bayerisches Staatstheater. In the next years followed engagements in Hamburg an from 1938 at the Staatstheater in Berlin. In the same year she took part in her first movie "Capriccio" (38), till the end of World War II followed other movies like "In letzter Minute" (39), "Der Weg zu Isabel" (40), "Das Fräulein von Barnhelm" (40), "Hautpsache glücklich!" (41) and "Seinerzeit zu meiner Zeit" (44). After the war she continued her stage career, among others in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. In addition she still acted in front of the camera, first for feature movies, later for TV productions too. To her cinematical works belong "Film ohne Titel" (48), "Der Ruf" (49), "Rosenmontag" (55), "Der Herr im ersten Stock" (57), "Im Namen einer Mutter" (60), "Bekenntnisse eines möblierten Herrn" (63), "Onkel Wanja" (65), "Antigone" (65), "Der Mann mit der Puppe" (66), "Ein Sarg für Mr. Holloway" (68) and "Bel Ami" (68). Beside her activity as an actress she also worked for radio plays and was a dubbing actress. Annemarie Holtz was married with the actor Ernst Martens.
