Julius Horst

The screenwriter Julius Horst was born as Josef Hostasch in Innsbruck.

He launched a successful career as an author and he was very successful with his comedies.

In the 10s he also wrote some screenplays, often based on his comedies he wrote for the stage.
To these movies belong "Die blaue Maus" (13), "Die Welt ohne Männer" (14), "Hans und Hanni" (15), "Hambels Abenteuer" (15), "Der fesche Rudi" (15) and "Der Mann ohne Kopf" (17).

It followed a longer interruption before some others of his plays were filmed again in the 30s. To these productions belong "Der Herr ohne Wohnung" (34), "Der Himmel auf Erden" (35), "Rendezvous in Wien" (36), "Das Frauenparadies" (36) and "Der letzte Wiener Fiaker" (37).
