Fred Immler

. The actor Fred Immler first worked as a bank employee from 1900 to 1904 before he dedicated to the acting and tookacting lessons from 1905. He already got first engagements in 1906 at the Hoftheater in Coburg and in the next years followed engagements in Hannover, Gera und Breslau folgten. Fred Immler joined the film business in 1912 and he soon became a demanded actor, among other he also played together with the legendary Asta Nielsen for several times. To his first movies belong "Der Totentanz" (12), "Die Suffragette" (13), "Die Filmprimadonna" (13), "Engelein" (14), "Zapatas Bande" (14), "Vordertreppe und Hintertreppe" (15) and "Jan Vermeulen, der Müller aus Flandern" (17). His film career was interrupted by his service in World War I but already in 1919 he was able to continue his activity in movies and he appeared in "Indische Nächte" (19), "Vendetta" (19), "Madame DuBarry" (19), "Des Teufels Advokat" (19) and "Die Nacht des Grauens" (19). He took part again in numerous movies during the silent movie era of the 20s and he impersonated support roles in "Johann Baptiste Lingg" (20), "Der gelbe Tod" (20), "Begierde" (21), "Memoiren eines Kammerdieners" (21), "James Morres" (21), "Der Graf von Charolais" (22), "Auf gefährlichen Spuren" (24), "Die Hermannschlacht" (24) "Die elf schill'schen Offiziere" (26), "Waterloo" (29) and "Das Schiff der verlorenen Menschen" (29). Fred Immler continued his career in the sound film era of the 30s till 1935 before he retired from the film business. To his last movies belong "Kampf um Blond" (33), "Es gibt nur eine Liebe" (33), "Abenteuer im Südexpress" (34), "Schwarzer Jäger Johanna" (34), "Pechmarie" (34), "Liebe, Tod und Teufel" (34) and "Der blaue Diamant" (35).
