. The Creole Madge Jackson was coming from South Africa and she was able to gain a foothold in the German film business at the beginning of the 20s and she impersonated several roles. Her first movie was "Darwin" (20). In this movie she played the role of Winawa at the side of Ria Jende and Alf Blütecher. In the next year followed engagements in the productions "Der Herr der Bestien" (21) with Henry Bender, Carl de Vogt and Claire Lotto, "Im Kampf um Diamantenfelder" (21) with Willy Kaiser-Heyl and Magnus Stifter, "Die Schreckensnacht in der Menagerie" (21) with Carl de Vogt, Claire Lotto and Hermann Picha as well as "Unter Räubern und Bestien" (21) with Carl de Vogt, Erwin Biswanger and Claire Lotto. Her last movie came in 1922 into being with "Allein im Urwald" (22), again with Carl de Vogt and Claire Lotto. Most of her movies were directed by Ernst Wendt. |
