The actress Hedi Janowitz (later also Hedy v.d. Putten) took only part in few movies during the silent movie era before she retired again from the film business in 1920. She often appeared in the popular film serial with the figure "Krümelchen". All her movies were directed by William Karfiol.

She appeared in "O, Sie Schlimmer" (19) with Emil Sondermann, "Mein Neffe - Der Herr Baron" (19) with Josefine Dora and Richard Senius, "Krümelchens Reiseabenteuer" (19) with Neumann-Schüler playing the title role and with Josefine Dora, Johanna Ewald, Richard Senius and Karl Harbacher,  "Ein toller Schwiegersohn" (19) with Josefine Dora, Karl Harbacher, Neumann-Schüler and Richard Senius, "Die Seebadnixe" (19) with Ria Alldorf, Eva Richter and Richard Senius as well as "Nicht doch - Männe" (20) with Eva Richter, Richard Senius and Emil Sondermann.
