The actor Carl Jönsson appeared at different German stages, among others at the Schauspielhaus in Bremen and at the Lessing theater in Berlin.

He entered the film business in the silent movie era of the 20s and he impersonated support roles in the productions "Friedrich Schiller" (23), "Die Bacchantin" (24) and "Der Liebeskäfig" (25).

After a longer interruption he returned to the film in the 30s and he appeared in "Zwei Krawatten" (30), "Lady Windermeres Fächer" (35), "Das Mädchen vom Moorhof" (35), "Krach im Hinterhaus" (35), "Sensationsprozess Casilla (39) and "Robert Koch, der Bekämpfer des Todes" (39).
