The actress Josephine Josephi (oder Josefine Joseffy) appeared in the early period of the Austrian silent movies, and she took part especially in productions of the directors Jakob Fleck and Luise Fleck Kolm.

But she began her acting career at the theater, among others she also appeared and the new founded Volkstheater in Vienna in 1889.

To her silent movies belong "Frau Gertrud Namenlos" (14), "Mit Gott für Kaiser und Reich" (16) at Hermann Benke's and Liane Haid's side, "Der Schandfleck" (17) with Liane Haid, "Wie Satan starb" (20) with Nora Gregor and "Lasset die Kleinen zu mir kommen" (20), again with Liane Haid.
