The actor Edwin Jürgensen conquered the German big screen from the 30's and became a well-known support actor in popular productions.
To his first movies belong "Das Flötenkonzert von Sans-souci" (30),"Der Prinz von Arkadien" (32),"Brennendes Geheimnis" (33), "Die Czardasfürstin" (34), "Fürst Woronzeff" (34), "Mazurka" (35), Das Schloss in Flandern" (36) and "Der Weg nach Shanghai" (36).

Till to the outbreak of World War II he took part in numerous movies, to these productions belong "Tango Notturno" (37), "Sherlock Holmes und die graue Dame" (37), "Zu neuen Ufern" (37), "Der Mann, der Sherlock Holmes war" (37), "Patrioten" (37), "La Habanera" (37), "Sergeant Berry" (38), "Gastspiel im Paradies" (38) and "Kongo-Express" (39). 

With the beginning of the war he career came to an abrupt end. He only appeared in the movies "Traummusik" (40), "Der Postmeister" (40) and "Das Hochzeitshotel" (44), afterwards his film career came to an end. 

Edwin Jürgensen died two years after the end of war at the age of 49.
