The actor Paul Kaufmann joined the film business in 1919 where he remained active for only two years.

In his first year in front of the camera he impersonated roles in several movies like "Arme Thea" (19), "Die Liebschaften der Käthe Keller" (19), "Das Schicksal der Carola von Geldern" (19), "Der Sohn der Magd" (19) and "Die Verführten" (19).

His last cinematical work came into being for the production "Die Brüder Karamasoff" (20).
