Albert von Kersten

. The actor Albert von Kersten first served in the army as a cavalryman before he was active as a flyer in World War I. After the war he decided to become an actor and he soon acted regular on different stages in Vienna, among others also at the Theater in der Josefstadt. His stage career led him to Berlin in 1931. He already joined the film business in 1921 and he impersonated numerous roles in well-known silent movies. To his movies of those years belong "Die Totenhand" (21), "Serge Panine" (22), "William Ratcliff" (29), "Kinder der Revolution" (23), "Das unbekannte Morgen" (23), "Oberst Redl" (25), "Café Electric" (27), "G'schichten aus dem Wienerwald" (28), "Erzherzog Johann" (28) and "Die verschwundene Frau" (29). In the 30s he was often engaged for smaller roles and he took part in "Das Wolgamädchen" (30), "Der Feldherrnhügel" (32), "Quick" (32), "Drei Kaiserjäger" (33) and "Ich war Jack Mortimer" (35).
