Walter Klam

. The actor Walter Klam got acting lessons by Ferdinand Gregori and afterwards he began his stage career at the Rose-Theater in 1924. In the next years followed engagements in Breslau, Darmstadt, Vienna and finally Hamburg where remained active on different stages for many years since 1937. Walter Klam joined the film business in 1936 and he impersonated support roles in the productions "Geheimnis eines alten Hauses" (36), "Gasparone" (37) and "Geheimzeichen LB 17" (38). During World War II followed only few more movies like "Philharmoniker" (44) and "Eine kleine Sommermelodie" (44). He continued his career both at the stage and in the film business. To his movies after the war belong "Das kleine Hofkonzert" (48), "Herr und Frau Merton lassen bitten" (53), "Der Hauptmann von Köpenick" (56), "Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull" (57), "Frau Warrens Gewerbe" (60), "Die glücklichen Jahre der Thorwalds" (62) and "Drei Tage bis Mitternacht" (66). His last cinematical works came in the 70s into being with "Mit dem Strom" (72), "Das Paradies auf der anderen Seite" (72) and "Wunnigel" (78). Besides his activity as an actor he also spoke roles in radio plays and he was active as a dub actor.
