The actor Herbert Klatt made his stage debut in 1931 and he got engagements in Erfurt, Konstanz and later in Berlin.

In Berlin he also took part in some movies, his first appearances in front of the camera were „Menschen ohne Vaterland“ (37) and „Condottieri“ (37).

In the next years followed productions like „Die Stimme aus dem Äther“ (39), „Johannisfeuer“ (39), „Das Lied der Wüste“ (39), „U-Boote westwärts!“ (41), „Das grosse Spiel“ (42) and „Kolberg“ (45).

Beside it he was also a newsreader for the „Deutscher Soldatendienst“.

His career ended abruptly when Herbert Klatt died at an injury at the age of only 35 on January 18, 1945.
