. The actor Ernst von Klipstein began his career at the theater where worked among others in Cologne and Frankfurt. He made his film debut only at the end of the 30's. Till the end of war the actor with the striking voice took part in movies like "Aufruhr in Damaskus" (39), "Die 3 Codonas" (40), "Stukas" (41), "Hochzeit auf dem Bärenhof" (42), "Besatzung Dora" (43) and "Schicksal am Strom" (44). The theater formed the hub of his activity after the war for the time
being. When the film industry recovered he appeared in few movies of the
50's, so in "Die Barrings" (55), "Skandal um Dr. Vlimmen" (56) and "Hunde,
wollt ihr ewig leben" (58).
Only in 1972 he had a great comeback with the successful production "Der Stoff, aus dem die Träume sind" (72). In the following years he worked especially for televison like the serials "Tadellöser & Wolff" (75), "Der Winter, der ein Sommer war" (76) and "Nirgendwo ist Poenichen" (80). To his last appearances in front of the camera belong the episode of the serial "Grossstadtrevier: Die lieben Alten" (92) and the episode of the serial "Tatort: Experimente" (92). Besides his activity as an actor he dubbed many movies and set the tone
of countless radio plays.
