Polly Koss

. The actress Polly Koss was born as Polly Kossek in Vienna. She got an artistic education at the Viennese Konservatorium der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde and afterwards she appeared successful as a stage actress and soubrette. Numerous engagements led her to well-known theaters in Vienna. At the age of 57 she joined the film business and she impersonated support roles in the next years for the productions "Liebling der Matrosen" (37), "Konzert in Tirol" (38), "Flitterwochen ohne Mann" (39) and "Das Glück wohnt nebenan" (39). Her last cinematical works came in the 40s into being with "Das jüngste Gericht" (40) and "Der weisse Traum" (43). Polly Koss was married with the actor and director Emil Guttmann. |
