. The actor Ivan Koval-Samborsky began his film career in Russia with movies like "Yego prizyv" (25), "Mat" (26) and "Hrich" (28). From 1928 he often appeared in German productions.To this silent movies belong "Schinderhannes" (28), "Das Spreewaldmädel" (28), "Liebe im Kuhstall" (28), "Mascottchen" (29) and "Cagliostro" (29). He was able to continue his career in Germany in the 30's for a brief time with "Gehetzte Mädchen" (30), "Das Donkosakenlied" (30), "Alraune" (30) and "Die grosse Attraktion" (31). Afterwards he returned to his home country because of the political situation in Germany and there he also appeared in front of the camera for movies like "Lyotchiki" (35), "Ushchelye Alamasov" (37) and "Boltnye soldaty" (39). He did not return to Germany after the war but continued his career
in Rusia.
