. The director and actor Uwe Jens Krafft began his film career as an actor. To his first movies belong "Stuart Webbs - Die Reise ins Jenseits" (16) with Ernst Reicher in the leading role, Joe May's "Das Geheimnis der leeren Wasserflasche" (17) with Harry Liedtke as Joe Deebs and "Sündenlust" (19) directed by Joseph Delmont. Uwe Jens Krafft also realised numerous movies as a director. To these works belong "Die Kaukasierin" (17), "Sein bester Freund" (18), "Das Buch Esther" (19), "Die Okarina" (19) and the 5th and 6th part of "Die Herrin der Welt" (19). For the first four parts he was responsible as a director assistant. Uwe Jens Krafft continued his film career as an actor in the 20s too, among others he appeared in "Rennbahnschieber" (21), as the Chief of Police in "Die weisse Spinne" (27), "Petronella - Das Geheimnis der Berge" (27), "Orientexpress" (27) with Heinrich George and Lil Dagover as well as "Schneeschuhbanditen" (28). He also continued to direct movies in the next years like "Die Trommeln Asiens" (21), "Die Nacht der Einbrecher" (21), "Maciste und die Javanerin" (22), "Der Tiger des Zirkus Farini" (23) and "Schneeschuhbanditen" (28). His last work as a director was released in cinema after his death with the short movie "Leier und Schwert" (30) with Carl Jöken.
