. The cinematographer Ernst Krohn joined the film business in 1915 and he became a demanded cinematographer of the silent film of the 10s. To his first movies belong "Die Goldfelder von Jacksonville" (15), "Marionetten" (15), "Hoffmanns Erzählungen" (16), "Zirkusblut" (16) and "Der Ring des Schicksals" (16). In the next years followed engagements for numerous movies, among them "Wenn Frauen lieben und hassen" (17),"Der verlorene Sohn" (18), "Die Spur des Todes" (18), "Stürme des Lebens" (19), "Im Schatten des Geldes" (19), "Der Eid des Stephan Huller" (19) and "Der Weltverächter" (19). His last movies as a cinematographer came in the silent era of the 20s into being. To these works belong "Ferréol" (20), "Die Nackt-Tänzerin" (20), "Der Mann im Schrank" (21), "Der letzte Mensch" (21), "Der alte Gospodar" (22), "Frauen, die den Weg verloren" (26) and "Elternlos" (27). Besides his activity as a cinematographer Ernst Krohn also wrote some screenplays for the movies "Die Mausefalle" (18), "Seiner Hoheit Brautfahrt" (18) and "Unikum" (19). For the last mentioned movie he was also responsible for the direction.
