. The actor Otto Kronburger took acting lessons by the famous actor Albert Steinrück among others before he entered the world of the theater in 1906 at the Volkstheater in Munich. It followed engagements at other theaters where he soon also realised some plays as a director. He entered the film business in 1917 with "Fräulein Leutnant" (17) and he became a regular engaged movie actor in the 20s and he often impersonated support roles. To his well-known movies of those years belong "Die Nacht der Einbrecher" (21), "Der Favorit der Königin" (22), "Helena" (24), "Kampf um die Scholle" (25), "Dirnentragödie" (27), "Die raffinierteste Frau Berlins" (27), "Das letzte Souper" (28), "Indizienbeweis" (29) and "Die nicht heiraten dürfen" (29). Otto Kronburger continued his film career in the sound film era of the 30s and he remained active in front of the camera till 1941. But he had to content himself with smaller roles. To his movies of the 30s belong "Va Banque" (30), "An heiligen Wassern" (32), "Der Rebell" (32), "Die unsichtbare Front" (33), "Der Herr der Welt" (34), "Liebesleute" (35), "Familie Schimek" (35), "Schloss Vogelöd" (36), "Eskapade" (36), "Fridericus" (37) and "Dreizehn Mann und eine Kanone" (38). During World War II he appeared in his last cinematical works, among them "Kennwort Machin" (39), "Die unvollkommene Liebe" (40) and "Das himmelblaue Abendkleid" (41).
