Fred Kronström

The actor Fred Kronström joined the stage school at the Deutsches Theater. Afterwards followed first engagement at theaters in Dortmund and Duisburg before he went to Berlin at the end of the 20.
There he continued his stage career successfully.

He already took part in numerous silent movies of the 10s, among them "Das Riesenbaby" (16), "Das Luxusbad" (17), "Die Mausefalle" (18), "Unikum" (19), "Meier und Sohn" (19) and "Die feindlichen Reporter" (19).

At the beginning of the 20s came other silent movies into being with "Moral" (20), "Der Riesenschmuggel" (20) and "Wege des Lasters" (22).

Afterwards he concentrated to his stage career. It lasted till 1949 before he appeared in front of the camera again for few more movies like "Das Mädchen Christine" (49), "Sein grosser Sieg" (52) and "Das tapfere Schneiderlein" (56).

After World War II he often appeared in operettas, his preferred stage was the Metropoltheater in Berlin.

Besides his activity as an actor he was also a singer and his songs were published on records.
