The actor Carl Kuhlmann appeared from the second part of the 30's in German movies. To his first productions belong "La Habanera" (37), "Altes Herz geht auf die Reise" (38), "Ein Mädchen geht an Land" (38) and "Der Vorhang fällt" (39).

Till the end of war he took part in other popular movies like "Die keusche Geliebte" (40), "Frauen sind doch bessere Diplomaten" (41) and "Nora" (44).

His cinematical works diminished a little after the war, still he kept busy with this medium till his death.
To his post-war movies belong "Via Mala" (48), "Epilog" (50), "Ein wahrer Held" (61) and "Der rote Hahn" (62).
