Georg Kundert

. The actor and director Georg Kundert began his career in Vienna in 1892 where he had his first appearance at the Rudolfsheimer Volkstheater. It followed engagements in Heidelberg, Ingolstadt and Breslau where he not only worked as an actor but also realised some plays as a director. Finally he joined the film business in 1914 and he impersonated his first movie roles in "Filmposse" (14),"Der Todesritt auf dem Riesenrad" (15), "Wenn die Liebe auf den Hund kommt" (17) and "Kronprinz Rudolph oder Das Geheimnis von Mayerling" (19). His last cinematical works in front of the camera came in the 20s into being with "William Ratcliff" (22), "Der Eisenkönig" (23) and "Ein Walzer von Strauss" (25). From 1918 Georg Kundert also shot several movies as a director with "Frauenehre" (18), "Das Grab ihrer Liebe" (19) and "Die gekreuzigt werden..." (20). For "Frauenehre" (18) he also wrote the screenplay.
