Aenderly Lebius

. The actor Anderly Lebius first studied law in Berlin and Leipzig before he decided to become an actor. He took acting lessons by Emanuel Reicher and he made his stage debut in Potsdam. He became established as a stage actor and he extended his acting abilities with engagements in Düsseldorf, Königsberg and Stettin before he got an engagement at the Neues Theater in Berlin. Other venues followed. As a well-known stage actor he joined the film business in 1914 where he impersonated many support roles in the next years. His first movie was "Der verhängnisvolle Schatten" (14), it followed the silent movies "Die Gespensteruhr" (16), "Komtesse Hella" (16), "Klein Doortje (17), "Der Mann im Steinbruch" (17), "Die Stunde der Vergeltung" (18), "Der Wüstendiamant" (18), "Die Erbin des Grafen von Monte Christo" (19), "Mazeppa, der Volksheld der Ukraine" (19) and "Angelo, das Mysterium des Schlosses Drachenegg" (19). His last cinematical works came at the beginning of the 20s into being with "Der gelbe Tod" (20), "Patience" (20), "Vergiftetes Blut" (21), "Madame X und die Schwarze Hand" (21) and "Das goldene Netz" (22). Aenderly Lebius committed suicide in 1921 at the age of 62.
