Waldemar Leitgeb

. The actor Waldemar Leitgeb took acting lessons and started his theater career in 1918 in Lucerne afterwards. In the next years followed theater engagements in different Swiss citys before hie went to Germany in 1925. There he played in Karlsruhe and Hamburg. After a longer stay at the Deutsches Theater in Prague he played regularly in Stuttgart fron 1932. Other cities followed in the next years. His first appearence in a movie came in 1935 into being and he took part in the productions "Der grüne Domino" (35), "Tango Notturno" (37) and "Zwischen Strom und Steppe" (39). During World War II he acted in few more movies like "Die Rothschilds" (40) and the important production "Münchhausen" (43). In this technicolor he impersonated the role of Prince Grigorij Orlow. After the war followed only two more movies with Waldemar Leitgeb - "Dunja" (55) and "Das Konzert" (56).
