The actor Franz Lichtenauer joined the film business in 1935 where he impersonated numerous support roles in the next years.

To his first movies belong "Der Klosterjäger" (35), "Viktoria" (35), "Der Schimmelkrieg in der Holledau" (37), "Die Pfingstorgel" (38) and "Wetterleuchten um Barbara" (41).

He continued his film career after the war with the productions "Via Mala" (48), "Semmelweis - Retter der Mütter" (50) and "Herr über Leben und Tod" (55).
