Nien Sön Ling

. The actor Nien Sön Ling was born in China in Tschekiang. He joined the film business in 1919 when he took part in the mini-series "Die Herrin der Welt" (19) at the side of Mia May. He became a demanded support actor in the 20s of Asian characters. He impersonated roles in well-known movies like "Der gelbe Diplomat" (20), "Schiffe und Menschen" (20), "Das Geheimnis von Bombay" (21), "Die Sonne Asiens" (21), "Die Beute der Erinnyen" (22), "Wettlauf ums Glück" (23), as Garron in "Dagfin" (26), "Die Frau ohne Namen" (27), "Die Gefangene von Shanghai" (27), "Die Welt ohne Waffen" (27) playing Rahi Tao, "Moderne Piraten" (28) and "Nachtgestalten" (29). Nien Sön Ling was able to continue his film career in the sound film era of the 30s but the numbers of engagements diminished compared to the silent movie era of the 20s. He took part in "Auf Leben und Tod" (30) and "Rivalen im Weltrekord" (30) as well as "Der Läufer von Marathon" (33) before he acted regularly again in front of the camera at the end of the 30s. To these movies belong "Zu neuen Ufern" (37), "Drops wird Flieger" (38) and "Die barmherzige Lüge" (39).
