Robert Lindner

. The actor Robert Lindner joined an education as an actor and he began his professional career at the Stadttheater Mährich-Ostrau in 1936. Afterwards followed a long lasting engagement an the German Volkstheater in Vienna where he was active from 1938 to 1945. Later followed engagements at the Viennese Kammerspielen, at the Theater in der Josefstadt and from 1952 at the Viennese Burgtheater. Robert Lindner made his film debut in 1944 with "Schrammeln" (44), it
followed the movie "Die Fledermaus" (44) which was only finished after
the war in 1946.
Although the theater remained his great passion he appeared in front
of the camera time and again in the next years, both in movies and TV productions.
Besides his activity as an actor he also spoke roles for radio plays. Robert Lindner was decorated with the title "Kammerschauspieler" in 1963. Four years later Robert Lindner died unexpectedly at the age of 51 during
his visit of a boxing match between Orsolics and Rudhof when he collapsed
in the audience.
