The Austrian actor Ferdinand Maierhofer probably made his film debut
in the movie "Die Stadt ohne Juden" (24) where he acted at Johannes
Riemann's and Hans Moser's side. This movie
dealt with the problems of this time which was unusual in those days.
When the sound film rose he got also more engagements for movies. He
played among others in "Die grosse Liebe" (31), "Eva" (35), "Endstation"
(35), "Mädchenpensionat" (36), "13 Stühle" (38), "Wen die Götter
lieben" (42) and "Wiener Mädeln" (49).
Ferdinand Maierhofer was honoured with the honorary medal of the capital
city Vienna in 1956 for his special acting performance.
