The actress Vera Malinowskaja began her film career in Russia where she took part in movies like "Vsem na radost" (24), "Medvezhya svadba" (26), Potseluj Meri Pikford" (27) - at Anna Sten's side - and "Chuzhaya" (27).

She gained a foothold in the German film business in 1928 and acted under Karl Grune's direction in the production "Waterloo" (28). It followed other German movies like "Der Günstling von Schönbrunn" (29) and "Der Zigeunerprimas" (29).
