. The actor Emil Mamelok was born in Zurich and he made his first acting experiences at the theater. From 1920 he launched a brief but intensive film career and in his first year he took part in movies like "Mord...die Tragödie des Hauses Garrick" (20), "Herrin ihrer Tag" (20), "Die Frau in den Wolken" (20) and "Retter aus der Not" (20). His probably most famous movies were "Lederstrumpf, 1. Teil: Der Wildtöter und Chingachgook" (20) and the sequel "Lederstrumpf, 2. Teil: Der Letzte der Mohikaner" (20), in which he impersonated the leading role of the deerslayer. Also part of the movie was the than unknown actor Bela Lugosi as Chingachgook. Later he became famous as Dracula. In the next years he appeared regularly in front of the camera, to his movies belong "Im Banne der Kralle" (21), "Taschendiebe" (21), "Madeleine" (21), "Don Juan" (23) and "Gobseck" (23). Afterwards he retired from the film business. Emil Mamelok died at the age of 72 in Lucerne. Other movies with Emil Mamelok:
