As a dancer in Vienna she was in the limelight for the first time, later followed appearances at the Kabarett der Komiker in Berlin.
She made her film debut in 1939 and acted already in three movies in her first years - "Hotel Sacher" (39), "Das jüngste Gericht" (39) and "Eine Frau für drei/Marguerite:3" (39).

Her film career was congested because of the outbreak of World War II and she appeared especially at theaters in the next years where she was successful both as an actress and as a singer.

To her movies during wartime belong "Tanz mit dem Kaiser" (41), "Hab' mich lieb" (42) and "Glück bei Frauen" (44).
After the war she only appeared seldom in front of the camera, among others in "Das singende Haus" (48) and "Frühling auf dem Eis" (51).

After her marriage she moved to Buenos Aires temporarily where she continued her career at the Deutsche Bühne. Finally she returned to Vienna and acted most of the time at the Löwinger-Bühne.
