. The actress Anita Mey joined the film business in 1930 at the age of 18 and in the next years she impersonated roles in the productions "Zwei Menschen" (30), "Ehe mit beschränkter Haftung" (31), "Eine von uns" (32), "Die Herren vom Maxim" (33), "Die kleine Schwindlerin" (33), "So ein Flegel" (34), "Heinz im Mond" and "Frauenliebe - Frauenleid" (37). Despite her growing success in front of the camera she concentrated again to the theater from 1936 where she was active for many decades at the Städtischen Bühnen Frankfurt. Only after World War II she appeared in few movies again, first as Miss Rottenmeyer (her most popular role) in the two Swiss movies "Heidi" (52) and "Heidi und Peter" (55), later in some TV productions like "Die Irre von Chaillot" (59), "Einladung ins Schloss" (61), "Die Cocktailparty" (64) and "Ankunft bei Nacht" (65). Beside her activity as an actress she was engaged for radio plays.
