. The actor Max Mothes joined the film business in 1919 and he impersonated his first role in "Die das Leben bezwang" (19). He continued his film career in the silent movie era of the 20s and he took part in the productions "Gauner der Gesellschaft" (20), "Das Mädchen aus der Ackerstrasse, 3. Teil" (21), "Aus den Erinnerungen eines Frauenarztes" (22) and "Herbstzeit am Rhein" (28). His last cinematical works came in the sound film era of the 30s into being. He played support roles in "Die elf Schill'schen Offiziere" (32), "Schwarzer Jäger Johanna" (34), "April, April!" (35), "Der müde Theodor" (36), "Die Nacht mit dem Kaiser" (36) and "Die Nacht der Entscheidung" (38).
