The actress Helen von Münchhofen was born as Helen Halker in Copenhagen. She experienced her cinematical height in the second part of the 20's where she took part in movies like "Das Mädchen ohne Heimat" (26), "Die rollende Kugel" (27) and "Stolzenfels am Rhein" (27).

Her most popular movie was Fritz Lang's classic "Metropolis" (27).

Helen von Münchhofen appeared only seldom in the sound film era. To her last movies belong "Eine Freundin so goldig wie Du" (31) and the Danish production "Det gyldne smil" (35).
