The actor Erich Musil began his career at the theater, where he mostly appeared in Berlin and Mannheim.

He began his film career with the movie "Drei Mäderl um Schubert" (36) in the role of Anton Bruneder.
Until the end of the war followed the productions "Der Fall Rainer" (42) as Unteroffizier Dirrmoser and as Herr Korner "Musik in Salzburg" (44).

After the war he continued his theater and film career.
His last appearances in front of the camera include "Unruhige Nacht" (55), "Der Mantel" (61), "Affäre Blum" (62) and "Dantons Tod" (63).
